Entry-Level AV Technician

In this role, exceptional customer service skills are vital as you will be interacting with clients in their homes and businesses on a daily basis. Responsibilities:

  1. Learn and understand the fundamentals of audiovisual systems, including components, wiring, connectivity, and integration techniques.
  2. Assist senior technicians in the installation and setup of audiovisual equipment, such as displays, speakers, projectors, control systems, cabling, and networking.
  3. Follow instructions and guidelines provided by experienced technicians, ensuring adherence to project requirements and industry standards.
  4. Support the testing and troubleshooting of audiovisual systems to ensure proper functionality, performance, and client satisfaction.
  5. Assist in maintaining accurate records and documentation of installations, equipment inventory, and system configurations.
  6. Learn to interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and project documentation to aid in the installation process.
  7. Collaborate with team members to foster a positive and collaborative work environment, actively participating in training sessions and team meetings.
  8. Follow safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
  9. Embrace a growth mindset and actively seek opportunities for continuous learning and skill development.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or relevant coursework is a plus.
  2. Passion for audiovisual technology and a desire to learn and develop skills in the field.
  3. Strong problem-solving abilities and a willingness to tackle challenges with a positive attitude.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
  5. Ability to work in a team environment, take direction, and learn from experienced technicians.
  6. Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on precision and quality in all tasks performed.
  7. Physical capability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various installation environments.
  8. Basic knowledge of common hand and power tools used in AV installations.
  9. Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
